Design Thinking is a Process, a Mindset, Human-Centered, Collaborative, Experimental & Optimistic!
I started learning about the Design Thinking process & Design Management when I joined the MPS Design Management Program at the University of Bridgeport. I learned and practiced The Design Thinking process during this program.
For our core class, Collaborative Design Studio, we worked with one client for each semester, namely, The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk, Cadenza Innovation, Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory and LiteMirror. Further subheads of this page has all the ideas I purposed for these clients as solutions to their various problems stated in the initial meetings. This class involved students working collaboratively in teams to develop business-building and problem-solving ideas designated by the client.
Other than these four clients, I with my two classmates worked on my thesis on the topic “How Might We Assist Low-Income Consumers in Saving Money and Eating Healthy?” After a thorough research and brainstorming sessions of empathizing, ideating, prototyping, we came with a mobile application EconoEats, which connected people on strict budgets with store’s exclusive deals where people save money and grocery stores save their produce from going waste because of various reasons. Here is my thesis document for further information.
